Buyers, for your convenience I have provided a direct link to a Land Transfer Tax calculator (provided by the Toronto Real Estate Board) where you can input the expected purchase price for your new home and instantly know what your Land Transfer Tax obligation on closing will be. Please note that if you are buying a property in the City of Toronto you have to pay both the Toronto LTT and the Provincial LTT. If the property you are buying is not located in the City of Toronto then you only have to pay the Provincial LTT.
